How tax is figured
South Dakota charges sales tax on rentals of tangible personal property. Municipal tax is keyed to your delivery address, not your billing address.

4.2% state + 2.00% municipal. The 1% municipal gross receipts tax does not apply to tote rental.

If something breaks or disappears
Replacement charges
You carry the risk of loss while the equipment is with you (Section 7.1). These are our replacement costs plus handling — not a profit center. Ordinary scuffs and scratches are expected and free.
