Not "mostly." Not "ask us." South Dakota addresses only — no Minnesota, no Iowa, no exceptions, including in the extended zones. Our totes stay in the state, and our rental agreement (Section 2.5) requires you to keep them here too.

Hard stop at the state line

Our booking form validates the state field before anything else. A Luverne, Rock Rapids, Larchwood, or Sioux City address will be rejected on the booking form even though it is closer to us than Dell Rapids is — distance is not the rule, the state line is.

Every mile past the line gets driven four times — out and back to deliver, out and back to pick up. That is why ordinary out-of-area appointments carry a flat fee, require a 2 Bedroom package or larger, and are not bookable online. Send the request and the owner confirms the date and the quote. Scheduled Campus Days are the exception — they accept any package size, including Studio / Dorm.

South Dakota only applies out here too — and it matters more. Past 30 miles, east and south leave the state fast. Brookings is only about 15 miles from the Minnesota border, and we still stop at it.
